Bingo by Keybotivated ("the app") is developed by Keybotivated. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it's handled. We built the app to work with as little data collection as possible — most gameplay (single player, pass & play) needs no data at all.
Information we collect
Anonymous identifier
When you use online features, the app signs you in anonymously via Firebase Authentication. This creates a random identifier tied to your device — not your name, email, or any other personal account. We never ask for or collect an email address, phone number, or real name.
Online match data (Play Online / Party mode)
To connect you with other players in a room, the app temporarily stores in Firebase Realtime Database:
- The nickname you choose for that match
- A room code
- Your board numbers and the numbers called during the match
- Timestamps of moves
This data exists only for the lifetime of the match. It's automatically removed when you disconnect or leave the room (via Firebase's onDisconnect() mechanism) and is not retained for analytics or profiling.
Nearby (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi) play
"Play nearby" uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi to discover and connect to a nearby device for offline two-player games — no internet connection or server involved. On Android versions before 12, the OS requires a location permission to be requested before an app can scan for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices, even though no location is actually used. The app declares its Bluetooth/Wi-Fi scanning as neverForLocation and does not access, collect, or store your device's location.
Advertising
The app shows optional rewarded ads (in exchange for in-game coins) and occasional interstitial ads, served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers to serve and measure ads, as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Ads in the app are not targeted at children, and the app is not directed at users under 13.
Crash reports
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics to detect and diagnose crashes. If the app crashes, technical diagnostic information is sent to Firebase — including device model, OS version, and a stack trace of the crash — so we can find and fix the bug. This data is not linked to your identity beyond the anonymous identifier described above, and is not used for advertising.
What we don't collect
The app does not use behavioral analytics SDKs, does not require account registration, and does not collect contacts, photos, or files from your device.
How information is used
- To match you with other players and synchronize gameplay in Play Online / Party mode
- To display ads that keep the app free
- To detect, diagnose, and fix crashes
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share match data with anyone beyond the infrastructure providers below.
Third parties we use
- Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication and Realtime Database, for online matchmaking
- Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash and diagnostic reporting
- Google AdMob — ad serving
Data retention
Online match data is ephemeral and cleaned up automatically when a match/room ends. Your anonymous identifier is tied to the app installation and is cleared if you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and its declared audience is 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us using the details below and we'll remove it.
Your choices
- You can opt out of personalized ads in your device's Google Settings → Ads.
- Uninstalling the app removes its locally stored anonymous identifier.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. Updates will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
